Once there was a night… there was a morning…

For seven years, my husband Brian, our dog Toufou and I travelled through a large part of North America in a motorhome, by car, by plane, by helicopter and… on foot. Through all those years, the experiences and numerous adventures that we shared have generated so many good memories that boredom has no place in my present life, no more than it had along the way. Being a retired teacher nowadays, I am delighted to wake up every morning with the pleasure of admiring the same scenery, either in our condo on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec City or in our condo in Naples, Florida.

Approaching sixty, I have discovered the real meaning of routine and I must admit that I enjoy it … I enjoy the pleasure of seeing the St. Lawrence Seaway in Quebec City or my beautiful palm trees and fountains in Naples.

Getting back to the subject… for two years I published a weekly chronicle in the local newspaper of my native region: I described my adventures throughout North America… and surprise… I was overblown by the comments I got from the readers of my chronicles. I had fans… they were following me… giving me advice… passing on good addresses… and following my tracks. True happiness!!! But when the trips were over, the comforting environment of the condos got the better of me… I gave up writing the chronicles.

One day, by pure coincidence, I ran into the priest of my hometown who wanted more chronicles… he is a bit responsible for the creation of this website. It is dedicated to my niece France, who never ceases to amaze me with her quest for surpassing herself and who inherited my love of travelling, to Carmen, my friend from Sturgeon Falls Ontario, who is a cancer survivor and is now travelling around the world and to my mom who travelled all over the world fearlessly. Finally, my last token of love is for Louisette who translates my chronicles to English… I love her dearly.

Love and kisses to all my readers.
Hoping to hear from you shortly.
Lyne
